Planet Accessibility is a Web Feed aggregator and is thus not a party to the creation and content of postings seen on this website. However, Planet Accessibility retains the right to approve the submission of Feeds, suspend or remove a Feed, or block specific postings it deems inappropriate to the intent of this website or containing offensive material.
Where to Register
Planet Accessibility provides an automated method of submitting your feed with the exact information we require. Simply click on REGISTER YOUR FEED to the right of this section. See below for definitions of each field.
What do those Registration Fields mean?
NAME: This is the name that will be displayed publicly next to Source: in each posting on the website. You can use your personal name, name of your blogsite, or any whimsical title you choose.
DESCRIPTION: A short description about you or your site. When a visitor hovers over your link in REGISTERED BLOGS widget, your description will appear.
SITE URL: This is the actual address of your website, which enables users to click through to your website. Be accurate here, because we will be unable to approve your registration if the address cannot be verified.
FEED URL: This is the Feed address of your website, which enables Planet-A11y to automatically post your articles. If you enter an incorrect feed, the widget will notify you and you will need to start the process again. See our Feeds Tips below.
OWNER NICKNAME: Please enter your nickname. This information is not displayed publicly and Planet-A11y will never release it publicly.
OWNER FULLNAME: Please enter your full name. This information is not displayed publicly and Planet-A11y will never release it publicly.
OWNER EMAIL: Please enter the correct email address. Planet-A11y may need to contact you to clarify your registration. Planet-A11y will not release your email address to any third party, but may occassionaly send you information related to Planet-A11y.
Feeds Tips
Planet-A11y does not filter Feeds based on categories/tags. However, you might wish to restrict what items get displayed in Planet-A11y by creating a custom Feed in your submission. Here is how:
- Create a new category for planet-a11y in your site
- Select the new category in the categories list
- In the Address bar select the feed icon. (This will open the category's feed url)
- Use that url to register your Blog
This will help planet-a11y to load posts related with accessibility and not posts that mention other topics.
Note: most of the blog engines offer this functionality.
Why isn't the theme W3C certified?
Because Planet-A11y read feeds from blogs that are not W3C certified.
