Navigating The Site

You can easily return to the Homepage by simply clicking the Homepage link or by clicking Planet Accessibility at the top of any page on this site.

To click through to a posting's actual website, simply click the post name shown in orange next to Source:

Registering Your RSS Feed

If you wish to register your RSS Feed to be displayed in Planet-A11y, please use the Register Your Feed widget to your right. For information about registration, please refer to our Registration FAQ.

Using the Widgets

The right side column next to the posts contain widgets. Widgets are tools that expand the functionality of our website and enables you to use features to get the most out of our website.

By default, most widgets are displayed as collapsed. If you click on them, they will expand to display the full information you need.

REGISTER YOUR FEED: This widget allows you to submit your RSS Feed for inclusion on Planet-A11y, pending approval. Click this widget to expand.

REGISTERED FEEDS: This widget shows the count of current number of feeds registered. If you cick this widget to expand, you can see the list of registered feeds and click on through to their websites. If you hover your mouse over a link, without clicking, you can get a description of that link, as defined by the submitter of that feed.

SEARCH and TAGS: These widgets allow you to search for specific posts, or browse the tags below the search widget. Tags are drawn from the actual post. The text size of each tag indicates the number of occurences those tags appear in posts.

Tips for Searching

In the Search Widget allows you to search posts in the Planet-A11y database. You can also click on Advanced Search to get more concise search results.

However, if you don't feel like clicking to get the Advanced Search Widget, here's some shortcuts you can use:

Author:(name) will allow you to search for all postings by an author. Note: An author is not the same as a website. One Author can appear on multiple sites.

Content:(word or words) will search within each post for specific keywords.

Date:(yyyy/mm/dd) will search for all posts from a particular date

Title:(word) will search for all posts with a specific keyword in its title.

Using your own RSS Reader

You can use your own RSS reader to grab posts from Planet-A11y's RSS reader. Simply create an entry in your favorite RSS reader for www.planet-a11y.net

Or, you can click on the circular RSS icon seen at the top of this page and subscribe through your web browser.
